Appointed to the position of Fire Chief January 1, 2023. Chief Bates has served in the fire and emergency services for over 28 years. He joined the District January of 1995. His career as a Captain/Training Officer began July of 2009. In January of 2019 he transitioned to Assistant Fire Chief.
