WA Tri-County Scholarship 

 Applicant must be a graduate (or will graduate in 2024) of an accredited high school and will be attending college in the fall of 2024.

  1. Applicant must have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale or are currently in college and have a grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale. 
  2. Applicant must be affiliated with a fire protection district that is a member of the Washington Tri-County Fire Commissioners Association.  Affiliation includes all active members of any Fire District or their immediate family (spouse or children). 

The amount of the scholarship award is $1,000.00.  It will be sent to the selected college or university of the recipient upon verified enrollment of full-time status.

Important dates to remember:

  • April 10  - Scholarship applications distributed to Fire Districts.
  • July 15  - Completed packet must be postmarked by this date.
  • August 15 - Notification to all applicants will be e-mailed advising of award or denial of award.
  • August 30  - Payment will be made to the recipient’s college or university (on or after this date).
